I took this picture in Weathercock House, one of the 30 Western-style houses built in the early 20th century in Kitano-cho, Kobe, Japan. At that time, Kobe was the only port open to foreign trade.
This house is built by G. Thomas, (now own by the Kobe City Hall), and is influenced by German traditionalism.
